This is a chance for me to take a look on ASUS GTX680 DirectCU II TOP 2GB Edition Graphic Card which support the VGA hotwire to overvoltage the Card using higher voltages.

The Box and The Packaging:

I Found the following inside the box: Driver DVD, , a Manual , VGA hotwire Cables x3 , DVI to VGA converter , Crossfire Cable and 2x 6pin PCI-e to 8PIn PCI-e Cable

The Card:

A view of the of DirectCUII which give 20% Cooler and 3X Quieter Operation from the stock reference GTX680 Graphic Card.

Back Side View

The backside of the card is covered by a heatsink with ASUS Geforce GTX680 Writings on it, the back plate heatsink is actually good too cool down the other side of the PCB Components.

It require 1xPCI-e 6PIN + 8PIN Power Cables to run the card , just near it there is a is a section where the VGA hotwire is located, this feature allows the user to connect the card itself to the motherboard to overvoltage the card for better overclocking options

2x DVI Ports , 1x HDMI and 1x Display port.

Test Benchmark setup:
CPU : Intel 3770K
Motherboard: ASUS Maximus V Extreme
RAM : 2x 4GB Kingston

Conclusions:

ASUS GTX680 DirectCU II TOP comes from Manufacture pre-overclock with core clock speed of 1201MHz which is 143Mhz Faster than the reference GTX680 .I also liked the DirectCU II which give the card better overclocking solution. The 10 phase is not bad on board, as it allows the GPU and RAM to overclock more but we couldn’t achieve more than 60MHz stable over the original Pre overclocked speeds

The best part is the VGA hotwire which enable the card to be overvoltage more than stock by connecting them to the ASUS Rampage IV Extreme of Maximus V Extreme Motherboard.
Will not too much fun with the overclocking because the card is already overclocked to 1201MHz, I tired to overclock more , but I hit 1260Mhz as a max Stable clock
