So I finally went with a core i7-3770K since I got it at an irrisistable price from a local classified adds posting. I went back home and assembled the PC, so far it's super duper fast and all still at default settings, it restarts windows 7 ultimate X64 in 5 seconds :-)

I'm using an I-Rock jelly keybard, and a stone age laptop mouse, an Ice age 14" Dell LCD, and no GPU, lolololol

5 hours from now is the start of boxing day sale here in toronto ,so I'll go do some shopping.

There are pretty good prices on HD 7970 and GTX 680, I just want to know what brands to avoid? discounted prices are on brands like MSI and Galaxy, can I trust these?

MSI is good, shouldn't be problematic.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 | Asus P5QL-E | Silverstone Fortress FT02 | Corsair H70 | 8GB OCZ Reaper | Sapphire HD 5850 | LG 42SL90 LED | Thermaltake Tough Power 650 W | Jamo A402 HCS12 5.1 | Razer Barracuda AC-1 + Onza Tournament Edition | X360 Wireless Windows Controller

All of the GPU brands are almost the same. The only difference is that it varys from a brand to brand in cooling stuff only.

I prefer Asus, EVGA, MSi, Gigabyte and Zotac.

Asus is popular with the lowest temperatures and its quiet, and Zotac is popular with the high default clocks, while MSi is popular with its good ability of overclocking, and Gigabyte has large fans on its GPUs which makes it quiet and cool.

Anyway, you can't notice big difference between any of them.

GTX 670 is good choice, can run everything you throw at it on ultra, and it's for about $320. You can save 180$ instead of buying GTX 680.

GTX 670's performance is equal to HD 7970 anyways.

If I were you, I'd go for GTX 670, and upgrade my GPU when GTX 800 series releases after 2-3 years.

Can somebody suggest a good brand and model of 7.1 wireless headphones that are not very expensive?

Is that Sony MDR-IF240RK - Infrared Wireless Stereo Headphone System, or something else?
